Pipeline construction (especially cross-country) presents many challenges, particularly environmental and social and is invariably preceded by extensive planning and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). The planning approvals and EIA follow on to establish the environmental procedures and standards that are to be applied to the construction and operation of the project. HEL offers services from EIA management to on site supervision to ensure contract compliance to legislation and specification.

EIA Management
In accordance with national and international legislation, International Financial institutions and company policies, EIA has become a key part of project implementation. All major civils projects, infrastructure and utility developments require EIA. HEL is experienced in a wide range of developments, throughout numerous countries and offers services in all aspects of EIA management and document production for planning approvals.

HEL is frequently asked to provide staff for construction projects and consultancy inputs and has supplied staff to major construction projects, such as the Isle of Grain Power Project. HEL has access to a range of environmental professionals and can provide staff for short term consultancy inputs to projects. Ecological Surveys
HEL has a vast experience in undertaking ecological studies and surveys in a wide range of habitats and across many countries and can advise on the ecological implications of developments and carry out any management required.
